Nanjing Tech University integrates and makes utilization of practical teaching resources inside and outside the university, and strengthens the connotation construction of experimental and practice conditions. Up to now, 19 Demonstration Centers for Experimental Education at or above the provincial level have been established, and more than 400 off-campus practice bases cooperating with leading enterprises such as Sinopec Nanjing Engineering & Construction Incorporation, China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp Ltd, Chambroad Holding Group have been set up. Furthermore, in cooperation with Beijing Oubeier Software Technology Development Ltd, Beijing East Simulation Ltd, and other enterprises, the university develops several virtual simulation experimental teaching projects and simulation practice software titles, and among them, 4 first-class courses of virtual simulation experiment teaching at the national level and 8 at the provincial level have been approved. Based on the construction of laboratories and practice bases with high standards, the university has constructed a complete undergraduate practical teaching system, which contains three levels  “basic experiment - comprehensive and designed practice - research-oriented and innovative training” and five modules of “course experiment, enterprise internship (social practice), course design, graduation project (thesis), and innovation and entrepreneurship training”. In recent years, the number of comprehensive designed experiments and students’ innovative experiments has been continuously increased, which promotes synergy among production practice, graduation internship and graduation project (thesis), and creates a real working environment of production and technological development. In doing so, “immersive” virtual, practical and hands-on teaching has been carried out and the transformation of research topics and engineering projects from enterprises into graduation project (thesis) topics has been achieved. The university endeavours to improve students’ consciousness of innovation and practical ability through practical works.
