On May 28, the 2023 Jiangsu Universities Air Volleyball Championship held by the Jiangsu Student Sports Association came to an end at Nanjing Medical University. A total of more than 160 athletes from 16 university teams in the province participated. After two days of intense competition, NanjingTech air volleyball team worked hard and united, clinching second place, setting the best record in team history.

On the 27th, in the group stage, NanjingTech had fierce competition with the powerful Suzhou City University team in the key field. The two sides drew 1:1 in the first two rounds. In the final round, our school’s team fell behind 10:14, and the opponent got the match point. In such a difficult time, the whole team persisted. They focused on reducing mistakes, seizing opportunities, and attacked decisively. With difficulties, they finally won the game 17:15 and successfully advanced to first place in the group, laying a good foundation for subsequent knockout games.

The finals were held between the teams of NanjingTech and Nanjing Agricultural University. Facing a strong opponent, the team members of our school dared to fight hard and showed their due skills and tactics. Unfortunately, they lost to their opponents and won the runner-up trophy.

NanjingTech achieving second place has created the best record in team history. The spirit of “Dedication, Endeavour, Perseverance, Collaboration” was fully promoted in the competition, which exercised the team, enhanced their confidence, and created a new milestone belonging to NanjingTech air volleyball team.
