Chinese Bridge Online Group Exchange Program successfully started


On December 6, the 2021  Chinese Bridge Online Group Exchange Program with the theme of “Feel the Chinese Architecture and Culture”, organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and held by Nanjing Tech University, successfully began. Nearly 600 students and teachers from Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and other countries gathered online to celebrate the opening of “Chinese Bridge” Online Program. The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Nai Kang, Director of International Office, Zhao Yonggang, Vice Dean of College of Overseas Education, Prof. Cui Yuwen and Prof. Rafael de Miguel, Co-heads of University of Zaragoza Confucius Institute as well as other teachers.

In her speech, Prof. Nai Kang, Director of International Office, expressed her gratitude to the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education for its strong support and extended a warm welcome to the international students who participated in the program. She briefly introduced the Chinese culture courses of the program and shared the development of NanjingTech. She hoped that through this program, the international students would become envoys who spread Chinese views, tell Chinese stories and strengthen the friendship between China and foreign countries.

Prof. Cui Yuwen and Prof. Rafael attended the opening ceremony online and delivered speeches. Nanjing Tech University Chinese Bridge Online Program was highly recognized. They said that such online cooperation is of great importance to the exchange of knowledge, culture and ideas in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic.

As a well-established brand of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Bridge program has attracted more than 1.5 million participants from more than 160 countries and regions in the past 20 years. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Chinese Bridge program. NanjingTech has customized a series of high-quality courses featuring Chinese architecture and culture to contribute to the international dissemination of Chinese language and Chinese culture and enhance cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
