2011 College

Overview

As one of the first 14 "2011 universities" in China, Nanjing Tech University established the "2011 College" in order to explore the reconstruction of China's outstanding undergraduate education, cultivate outstanding scientific and technological talents, and achieve the strategic goal of "comprehensive, research-oriented and global", and selected outstanding undergraduate students from the whole university in 2013.

The college draws on the concept and method of talent training in first-class universities at home and abroad, and in accordance with the concept of educating people with "teaching and enlightening wisdom, educating people, becoming professional talents, and spiritual adults", the college strives to transform the comprehensive advantages of the school, the policy advantages of the government, and the industrial advantages of the region into the advantages of talent training, and explores how to promote the reform of talent training methods under the conditions of popularization, especially the reform of the elite talent training model; explore how local colleges and universities can combine with local governments and industries under the new situation, innovate the school-running model, and go out of China's own" Stanford-Silicon Valley" development model; explore how Chinese universities cooperate with internationally renowned universities to run schools, use international resources to achieve leapfrog development of schools, and strive to build 2011 College into a platform for innovation and incubation of horizontal scientific research achievements, and become a first-class internationally renowned high-level college in China.
