Overview
The School of Physical Education originated from the Department of Physical Education and was founded on June 12, 2020. Currently there are 66 staff, including 5 professors, 30 associate professors, 5 international judges and 8 national judges.
1. Talent Cultivation
The mode of integration of sports and education has been a successful model in our country. Jiangsu Women's Softball Team is trained and educated in Nanjing Tech University, together with Jiangsu Province Sports Bureau and Changzhou Municipal Government. The players have won three consecutive championships at the National Games and 12 straight champions at the National Softball Championship. Their spirit of dedication, struggle, tenacity, and coordination has become one of our university’s most formidable spirits.
The School has devoted to P.E. teaching reformations of "Four-year consistent system", "integration of inside and outside class", "diversified evaluations", "physical strengthening class" etc. "sunshine long-distance running", "campus marathon", "running & fitness festival" and other brand events and activities have been highly recognized by staff, students and other universities.
2. Scientific Research
The College has successively undertaken projects of National Social Science Fund of China (3), Humanities and Social Science Fund Project of the Ministry of Education of PRC (1), the project of Philosophy and Social Science Fund of Jiangsu Province (6), the project of Social Science Fund of General Administration of Sport of China (1), the State Sports General Administration Olympic Science and Technology Public Relations Service Project (3) etc. Over 300 papers have been published in core and provincial journals, resulting in good social impact.
3. Construction of High-level Sports Teams
At present, four high-level sports teams are set up: softball, baseball, athletics, and table tennis teams.
4. Social Services
The school has jointly established a series of bases with the General Administration of Sport of China, China Softball Association, Baseball and Softball Branch of Federation of University Sports of China, and Jiangsu Sports Bureau, respectively. The specifics as follows, Nanjing Sports Training Base of National Softball, Development Collaborative Innovation Platform of National Softball, Reserve Talent Base of China Baseball High-level Players, Base of China Softball Teaching and Training, and Baseball Teaching Base of National Undergraduates and Olympic Club of Jiangsu Teenagers.
In Sept.2021, the School became the Chairman Unit of the Baseball and Softball Branch of FuSC.

In the future, the School attempts to become a world-renowned new project plus sports college of multidisciplinary integration.
